Worsboom – Kigelia africana
- Bright red flowers, with a terrible smell
- Bats are thought to be the main pollinators

- Ripe fruits are inedible, but are baked and added to beer to aid fermentation
- Powdered fruit is used for ulcers and sores and rubbed on babies bodies to make them fat and to treat eczema
- If fruit is hung in a hut it protects it against whirlwinds
- Fruit extract is used to treat skin ailments and cancer
- Young men and the sausage. Penis will grow as long as the fruit does, same with young women and breasts.
- Fruit largely untouched but sometimes eaten by bushpigs and baboons
