Shaka’s Rock

It is said to have been a seaside resort favoured by Shaka during the last years of his life when his capital was established at Stanger. The high rock mass forms a natural cliff where Zulu warriors, suspected of lack of courage, were required to prove themselves by jumping into the sea. Enemies of Shaka were also thrown over it.
